SPRING 2020 SCHEDULE

WILDERNESS FIRST RESPONDER (80+ hours). 
MARCH 7-15, 2020. Anchorage. Cost: $675.00. Class meets on APU's campus. Days run from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Homework and readings are assigned at night. Participants must pass final exam to earn cert. To register, contact SafetyEd at debajango@gmail.com.
APRIL 18-26, 2020. Seward. Cost: $675.00. Class is sponsored by Kayak Adventures Worldwide. Days run from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Homework and readings are assigned at night. Participants must pass final exam to earn cert. To register, go to the KAW website or contact debajango@gmail.com.
MAY 11-19, 2020. Fairbanks. Cost: TBA. Class is run through the University of Alaska Fairbanks Summer Sessions. Days from from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Homework and readings are assigned at night. WILDERNESS FIRST RESPONDER RECERTIFICATION (30 hours)

February 28-March 1, 2020. Anchorage, Alaska. Cost: $310.00. Course begins at 9:00 a.m. and runs to 7:00 p.m. all three days. Includes CPR recertification. Pre-course assignments are required. WILDERNESS ADVANCED FIRST AID (WAFA 40-44 hours).

January 28-31, 2020. Anchorage. Cost: $450.00. Course starts at 8:00 a.m. and runs until 7:00 p.m. 

WILDERNESS FIRST AID (16-20 hours). The WFA cannot be used as a WFR recert.

January 11-12 or 18-19 (dates TBA). Soldotna. Cost: $185.00

May 2-3, 2020. Eagle River Nature Center. Cost: $185.00.

SafetyEd's WFR and WFR recertification courses are authorized and certified via Wilderness Medical Associates. WMA accepts most other WFR certs; please contact the SafetyEd office with questions.

SafetyEd is authorized to teach a variety of wilderness medical courses. Our instructors are able to offer courses through American Safety and Health Institute, Wilderness Medical Associates, National Safety Council, and American Heart Association, among others. Course offerings include, but are not limted to, the following: Wilderness First Aid (16-24 hours), Wilderness Advanced First Aid (40 hours+), Wilderness First Responder (80 hours+), CPR (4-8 hours), and wilderness medicine refresher courses (times vary).
